02 WHY IT HAS FELT SO HARD

Maybe you’ve always felt like you were different.

For years, your struggles may have been mistaken for laziness, anxiety, being “too much,” or simply not trying hard enough.

Teachers, parents, clinicians, employers, partners, and people who loved you may have misunderstood what was really happening. ADHD and AuDHD in women are still often overlooked.

Over time, it is easy to begin believing that you are the problem.

It is exhausting to keep trying harder and still feel like you are falling behind.
